Newborn Twin Girls' Photo Session | Detroit Baby Photography
When these twin girls came to my Utica, Michigan photography studio for their newborn pictures, I asked mom and dad what the babies’ personalities were like. Mom laughed and said it how it was - one was super chill, one was more feisty. Can I just say how much I love that we can see what personalities are like at just a couple of weeks old? And feisty or chill, these sisters were ammmazing to photograph!
The parents love color, so we did some nice white photos, but then included some peach, pinks, green and rust florals and aqua. And these girls slept like little rock stars for me!
Fun Fact! During a twin newborn session, I have an assistant join me. This not only allows my workflow to go more smoothly, but it also guarantees mom and dad get a break during the session. Scroll Insta, drink some coffee, take a nap - you do you, parents! The assistant helps with holding and soothing baby, bottle feeding baby, assisting with posing, and checks the details for me.
Fun Fact Number Two: This newborn session took just under 4 hours. A single baby’s newborn session takes about 2.5-3 hours.

Chelsie is incredible and will leave you with photos to cherish for a lifetime. She has a magic touch with babies - her calm, gentle, kind demeanor makes her the perfect newborn photographer. She photographed our newborn twin girls when they were 3 weeks old. As a first time mom I thought I would want to be right there next to her, ensuring the babies were ok, comfortable and happy. I soon realized that there was absolutely no need — she cared for the girls during and between every shot. The photos turned out beautifully and her products are very high quality.
