It’s the emotion, the family dynamics, the cuddles - it’s your family.
And then when I see your newborns grow up to one year olds and then toddlers and kiddos, I just think back to how little they used to be but more importantly, YOU can to look back on their babyhood and childhood years. Queue the sap music, I just finished receiving my own family portraits and I can’t get over how much my girls have grown and changed in the last year!
This family melts my heart. I’ve photographed them several times now, capturing the big milestones for both their babes. For each session, we mix up the location, and this time they liked the option of Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester, Michigan. I mean, when you see the photos, how could you not want to go there?
Oh! And besides family photos, we captured their youngest baby turning ONE! Tradition for them is to include something lemon in their photos, so Theo got to do a lemon pie smash in lieu of a cake smash.
The best part?
Theo wasn’t all that interested in the pie but guess who was? BIG SISTER!

Theo has the most perfect, round face!
We couldn’t RESIST getting some river photos! C’mon! Our session was early in the morning and it was about 50 degrees, but the photos were so worth it! Theo is 100% boy and wanted to find rocks, throw them and run into the river. Macie, on the other hand, 100% girlie girl and wanted to stay dry and clean.
I love capturing their personalities.
