Downtown Detroit Senior Pictures | Logan

The Downtown Detroit scene has been THE most requested location for my high school seniors pictures! Detroit has so much variety to offer from the allies, roof top parking decks at golden hour, all the tall buildings and more. I have my favorite go-to spots, but I also love doing a little wandering to find all the gems Detroit has to offer.

Another perk with a Detroit senior photography session is the variety of style seniors can wear. Dress it up with a more formal look, rock the hipster style, throw a blazer on to give a professional attire and so forth. You really can’t go wrong.

Ready to meet Logan?

I kid you not, we had to reschedule Logan’s senior session two times due to the weather. We figured the third time was a charm and it WAS, however, it was COLD! I’m pretty sure Logan must have model experience because she was able to hide just how frozen she really was. It was 45 degrees, windy and then we kept getting random rain (none of this was in the forecast!) and then spots of sunshine. I kept telling Logan how much wind is a BEAUTIFUL thing for a photo session because it adds so much movement in the photos, and you’ll see all that gorgeousness throughout her photos.

You know how you’ll hear people say cloudy days are the best days for photo sessions? It couldn’t be more true. Look at those clouds in the photo above - they add so much MOOD to the photo and I am here for it! That’s not the only perk to cloudy days for photos though; it also prevents harsh shadows and squinting for the subjects. So when your photo session day isn’t blue skies and sunny, celebrate that!

Chelsie
