Vintage Bohemian Family Maternity Portraits // Troy, Michigan Photographer
A maternity photo session is always beautiful, always a celebration of preparing for new life, and always emotional, but I have to say it is even more so when there are have been losses before. I have known this sweet mama for a few years now, and she has openly shared her and her husband’s struggle with infertility, as well as the ups and downs of navigating the foster care system. It has certainly been a journey for them, and I can honestly say they walked it with strength and a fierce faith. Fast forward time, they were able to adopt their beautiful daughter and have a sweet baby boy who is now four months old. Through it all, they give all the glory to God.
Here is a little something written by Mama herself…
“The grief my husband and I shared years back has been met with so much glorious joy. My heart and bones are full of humbleness and honor to be carrying this baby boy. We fought hard to push through the loss of our first baby, constantly trying not to lose hope every month. Our trust in God grew deeper and deeper, even when met with the messes of foster care. So many unknowns, I let go of the image of what I thought our family would look like. Today, at 26 weeks pregnant and able to call our beautiful daughter ours, I can’t believe this life. I won’t take this changing body for granted. All that I have been given is yours Jesus.”
